Our Story

Called together. Sent together.

Who We Are

A Calling Planted
Deep in Our Hearts

We're Dakota and Annalise Custodio — a husband and wife united not just in love, but in a shared calling to the nations. From the moment God stirred our hearts toward missions, we knew He was writing a story bigger than ourselves.

We are missionary associates with the Assemblies of God World Missions, appointed to serve alongside the Roman family at New Life Assembly of God in Antigua and Barbuda. Our focus is the youth and young adults of these beautiful islands — a generation hungry for hope, identity, and the truth of the Gospel.

"How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news."

— Romans 10:15

The Calling

How Did We Decide on
Antigua?

A Heart for Latin America

At first, we both felt led to Latin America — a culture we hold so dearly to our hearts. We began exploring missionary associate opportunities across the region: Children's Ministry, Next Gen Ministry, Church Planting, Worship, Evangelism, University Ministry, and more. The need was almost overwhelming — Brazil, Costa Rica, Colombia, Honduras, Ecuador, Mexico, Dominican Republic, Panama, Argentina... so many open doors, so many hungry hearts.

One Listing Stood Out

We both knew one thing for certain: we love youth ministry. So when we found a listing titled, something stirred in us. We applied — and we'll be honest, we thought it was Antigua, Guatemala! It wasn't until we met with the missionaries that we realized... Antigua is an island in the Caribbean.

We Fell in Love with the Vision

We learned about the need in Antigua, the church being planted, the desire to disciple young people, and what the culture is like. We met the Roman family — and we just fell in love with their vision and their leadership. God didn't give us a miraculous vision of the island and declare, "This is where you are going." Instead, He showed us doors and invited us to walk through them. One of those doors was New Life Assembly of God, where Pastor Billy Roman leads with a heart for the next generation.

Sacrifice, Surrender & Trust

With each open door came sacrifice, surrender, and grief — sacrificing comfort, surrendering previous dreams, and grieving current ministries. But that is how our missional God works. When you trust in Him, He will guide your path.

Our Partners on the Field

Serving Alongside

The Roman Family

Pastor Billy and Havilah Roman — along with their sons Joshua, Phillip, and David — serve in Antigua as Missionary Pastors with Assemblies of God World Missions. Under their leadership, New Life Assembly of God became the first AG church planted on the island — a bilingual, multicultural congregation with a vision that extends to 20+ islands across the West Indies.

  • Reaching the homeless, addicted youth, and kids on the streets
  • Hosting missions teams for VBS, home repair & street evangelism
  • Providing pastoral and leadership training
  • Vision: a movement of AG churches across the entire region

We are stepping into a mission already bearing fruit — not as outsiders, but as partners.
